The Church of St Petka of the Saddlers

The Medieval Church of St. Petka Samardzhiyska is a small single-nave church located in the center of Sofia, near Serdika. Dating back to the Middle Ages, it is partly built below street level and is known for its preserved mural paintings from different periods. The church is dedicated to St. Petka, a revered saint in Bulgarian tradition, and remains an important historical and spiritual landmark in the city.
