    Slaveykov Square

Slaveykov Square is one of the most famous and lively squares in the center of Sofia. It is traditionally associated with books, literature, and intellectual life, thanks to its long-standing book market. The square is named after the prominent Bulgarian writers Petko and Pencho Slaveykov, whose statue stands at its center. Surrounded by cafés, shops, and cultural venues, Slaveykov Square is a popular meeting place and a symbol of Sofia’s literary and urban spirit.
