    National Historical Museum

    The National Historical Museum in Sofia is the largest museum in Bulgaria, founded in 1973. It houses an extensive collection of over 700,000 artifacts that trace the country’s history from prehistoric times to the modern era. Located at the foot of Vitosha Mountain, in the former government residence Boyana, the museum is renowned for its Thracian treasures, medieval artifacts, traditional costumes, and historical documents.
