We’ll close out the winter season with a concert that will put you in a trance, driven by Paradox Obscur’s hypnotic stage presence, pulsating synths and heavy rhythms. If you’re drawn to the dark sounds inspired by Bauhaus, The Cure and Joy Division, come to Club Pave! Paradox Obscur is an Athens-based electronic duo crafting forward-thinking electronica where hypnotic rhythms and cinematic songwriting meet contemporary club culture. Formed by Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor, the project is built around hardware synthesizers, drum machines and expressive vocals, blending their artistic perspectives into a rich, multi-layered sound. Over the past decade, the duo has expanded its sonic language across six studio albums, forging an artistic identity in which introspective themes meet high-impact dancefloor energy. This evolution has led to extensive touring throughout Europe and Latin America, a steadily growing global audience, and releases through Metropolis Records. Beyond the stage, their cinematic sensibility has found recognition on screen. Their music was featured in Denis Côté's That Kind of Summer, nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), while their original score for the short film Peppermint Diesel 20% has been presented at major film festivals and broadcast on Finland's national public television, YLE. Fueled by the rich textures of hardware synthesis rather than software automation, their live set balances sequence-based precision with spontaneity.
