Mogilanska Mound Tombs
Mogilanska Mound Tombs are among the most significant Thracian archaeological discoveries in northwestern Bulgaria. Dating back to the 4th century BC, the tombs belonged to members of the Thracian aristocracy and were uncovered during excavations in the city of Vratsa. The site became world-famous after the discovery of an exceptionally rich golden treasure, including crowns, jewelry, and ceremonial objects. The tombs provide valuable insight into Thracian burial rituals, social structure, and craftsmanship, making them a key cultural and historical landmark of ancient Bulgaria.
