    Paradise Corner Waterfall

Rayski Kat ("Heavenly Corner") Waterfall is a small but exceptionally charming natural landmark located above the Pine Park (Boroviya Park) of the town of Varshets, on the Bashtitsa River — a tributary of the Botunya — in Varshets Municipality, Montana Region, in the Western Balkan Mountains. The waterfall is part of an entire fairytale-like locality of the same name, arranged and landscaped in 2006, where, around the river, are scattered numerous gazebos, tables, a well, a barbecue, swings and a slide for children, a Baba Yaga hut, wooden bridges crossing the stream, and a panoramic terrace from which the cascade can be admired. Rayski Kat itself represents a small but picturesque two-tiered waterfall, especially full-flowing and impressive in the spring when its waters bubble lively and pour into a small pool below, fully justifying the name of the place. Access is among the easiest in Bulgaria, with a pleasant 20–25 minute walk from the bridge over the Botunya River at the start of the Pine Park, along a marked trail (blue band marking towards Byalata Voda Hut) that passes through the picturesque Ivanchova Polyana and Mariykina Polyana glades, both equipped with gazebos and picnic tables. The total elevation gain from the centre of Varshets to the waterfall is only about 100 metres, making the walk suitable for visitors of all ages. Rayski Kat Waterfall can be conveniently combined with visits to other landmarks in the area, such as the Zanozhene Waterfall, Varshets Paleopark, the Royal Casino of Varshets, the town's mineral baths, and the Klisura Monastery.
