
National Community Hall Dobri Voynikov
The “Dobri Voynikov” Community Center (Chitalishte) in Shumen is one of the city’s most important cultural institutions, named after the renowned writer, educator and founder of Bulgarian theater. Established in the 19th century, the chitalishte has long served as a hub for education, arts and community activities. Today, it hosts a wide range of cultural programs, including theater performances, concerts, exhibitions, literary events and workshops. The building also houses a library and various artistic groups such as choirs, dance ensembles and theater troupes.
