Saint George Hotel & Medical Spa is a four-star hotel and balneotherapy centre located on the first sea line in the Old Town of Pomorie, at 15 Yavorov Street, Pomorie Municipality, Burgas Region — between the coastal promenade and the main pedestrian street of Pomorie, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, 6 minutes' walk from the Pomorie Monastery of St George, 1 km from the Pomorie Lake Visitor Centre, 3 km from the Thracian Domed Tomb, 700 metres from the beach, and approximately 15–20 km from Burgas Airport. The hotel was built in 2000 and consists of three separate sections with their own cosy lounges, staircases, and lifts, with a total of 98 rooms and suites. The hotel restaurant has two indoor halls of 50 and 70 seats and a summer garden for 150 guests, serving national, Balkan, and European cuisine including grill, Asian specialities, and Italian pizza, with a Cooking Show during the summer season; the wine list focuses on regional Bulgarian wines and brandies. The rooftop Sky Bar with jacuzzi, sun terrace, and loungers offers panoramic views of the Burgas Bay, Sunny Beach, and Nessebar — one of the finest rooftop experiences on the Bulgarian coast — and is open in the summer season. Public parking is available at 12 BGN per day. The hotel's Medical SPA centre is its defining feature. It uses the unique therapeutic resources of the Pomorie Lake — estuarine mud and lye extracted exclusively from the lake — in a comprehensive palette of balneotherapy and spa treatments for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, skin, and peripheral nervous system. The mud of the Pomorie Lake consists of three components: a liquid fraction (chemically close to seawater but much more concentrated), crystalline inorganic salts, and organic matter. The lye is a final product of the salt-making process from Pomorie's salt pans, containing calcium, sodium, magnesium, chloride, and sulphates. The spa centre's treatment programmes are prepared by specialists and may be used for prophylactic purposes without a confirmed diagnosis; a team of specialists provides prescriptions, information, and programmes, and all programmes include free medical consultations. The full wellness package available to Premium Family Room guests includes use of an indoor pool with integrated jacuzzi (28–31°C), a salt-electrolysis heated indoor pool, salt relaxation area, steam bath, infrared cabin, contrast shower, dry herbal sauna, and fitness centre.
