Church of St. Ivan Rilski
St. Ivan Rilski Church is one of the most important Orthodox churches in Pernik and a spiritual symbol of the city. Built between 1910 and 1920 for the needs of the local mining community, the church was long known as the “Miners’ Church” and is closely connected with the history and identity of Pernik. With its prominent central location and strong cultural significance, it remains an important landmark of the city and a place of faith, memory, and tradition.
