Historical site

This historical site marks the birthplace of Pamporovo as a mountain resort. In 1933, Nikola Chichevsky founded the resort by building the first guesthouse for tourists in the area. Over time, the guesthouse was expanded and developed into the Bor Hotel, which played a key role in the early tourism history of Pamporovo. Today, the former hotel stands abandoned and in ruins, serving as a silent reminder of the resort’s beginnings and its transformation into one of Bulgaria’s leading mountain destinations.
