Public bath - Chifte
The Chifte Bath in Kyustendil is an impressive architectural monument and one of the city’s most notable historical spa buildings. Dating back to the Ottoman period, the bath features characteristic domes, stone masonry, and a symmetrical layout that reflects traditional bathhouse design. Its name, meaning “Double Bath,” refers to its two separate sections, originally intended for men and women. Although no longer functioning as a public bath, the building stands as a valuable cultural landmark, illustrating the long-standing spa traditions of Kyustendil—one of Bulgaria’s oldest balneological centers.
